“Laughing is the shortest distance between two people.” ~ Victor Borge

“Humor is the affectionate communication of insight.” ~ Leo Rosten

“Laughter is carbonated holiness.” ~ Anne Lamott

“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.” ~ Herm Albright

“Humor is, in fact, a prelude to faith; and laughter is the beginning of prayer. The saintliest men frequently have a humorous glint in their eyes. They retain the capacity to laugh at both themselves and at others. . .  To meet the disappointments and frustrations of life, the irrationalities and contingencies with laughter, is a high form of wisdom.” ~ Reinhold Niebuhr

“Life is short. Kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.” ~ Paulo Coelho

Laughter has got to be the single healthiest activity one can perform. Just think how healthy you would be if you could sincerely laugh at that which now oppresses you. I’ve mentioned before that one good measure of someone’s depth of spirituality is how long it takes before they become offended. Imagine laughing hysterically at the criticisms, complaints, and impositions you receive.
